Print Design

I’ve been designing for print since 2001, from ads to corporate brochures to full magazine design. Each project presents its own form of technical challenges, narrative design, and the artistic expression of the client’s goals.

As part of my Bachelor of Design, I attended an invaluable summer course in typography taught by Gerry Leonidas of Reading University and Canadian Robert Bringhurst, author of The Elements of Typographic Style, which profoundly influenced the way I think about and approach typography within design.

Since 2005 I have been the managing editor and designer of the Canadian Arabian Horse News, an annual publication of the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry. (The magazine is currently on hiatus).

I have a thorough technical knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as file preparation for both 4-color press and large format printing.
